Laura, wearing a quilted jacket she made.

My dope custom quilted jacket. Made possible by taking classes and loving the craft. :)

About me

I’ve been excited by sewing since middle school! I made my first pair of pants before I had a drivers license. Over the years I made or altered plenty of my own clothing, but in 2021 began to refine my skills with the best teachers in the Portland area. I’ve attended Palmer/Pletsch fit workshops and Montavilla Sewing Centers sewing classes with Jayne Vetter since 2021. The best instructors are right here in PDX.

Honored to truly find a home with the wonderful and talented Palmer/Pletsch family, I started co-teaching beginner sewing classes with the incredible Helen Bartley at Sew-Op in the summer of 2024, and have since taught beginner classes at Bolt Fabric Boutique.

I enjoy the continual challenge and learning process of sewing and the fulfillment it brings to proudly wear a well-fitting garment. In the age of too much tech, it’s nice to have something you made that you can hold in your hands.

We’ll have fun in class — Hope to see you soon!
